The objectives of this module are largely inspired by the Work-Based Competency Assessment on Ventilation by the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand
At the end of this module you will be able to:
- Describe the components of your ventilator and how it works
- Configure the different settings and chose the appropriate ventilation mode for your patient
- Understand the basic physiology and physics of the respiratory unit, and use that understanding to adjust ventilation
- Set appropriate alarms and troubleshoot common problems
