Supporting Intensive Care
The Northcare Foundation was established in 1997 to promote excellence in Intensive Care research and education.
Since its foundation, Northcare has provided seed money to support research projects at RNSH. These projects have often gone on to receive larger grants from major funding bodies, resulting in internationally renowned research and publications.
Northcare also fosters a grant-program assisting Critical Care Nurses to undertake advanced studies such as Graduate Certificates in Intensive Care Nursing and the Masters Degree of Critical Care Nursing.
The Foundation also sponsored the Northcare Simulation Centre, the in-situ simulation space in RNSH ICU.

THE NORTHCARE FOUNDATION DINNER
The annual dinner is a prestigious event which acts as a fundraiser but also a celebration of what the Foundation has allowed RNSH ICU to achieve. Nurses receive their scholarships, and there are demonstrations of various medical scenarios and techniques, with guests getting involved! A fun time is had by all!
